I spent the day on MARSOC's Bulldog 1, and had a great time. Squad movement was good, medics did well, one downside would be that a lot of our squad comms didn't work, but overall communication worked well. Overall great job to all on Bulldog 1. We did get beat up a few times, but on the whole I think the group did well. Objectives were slightly confused a couple of times but that's gonna happen anyway. And that leads to my personal favorite part of the day.

It was the last mission of the day, My battery had run out during the prisoner interrogation/holding mission so I had just my sidearm. Therefore I volunteered to guard another prisoner which we took at the start of the last mission. Bringing up the rear of the MARSOC forces with the POW and a couple other guys (I think it was Bulldog 2 medic and another Bulldog 2 member), when a friendly civilian, I think he was some kind of musician(Troub), told us that if we skirted round the edge, we could reach the helicopter (which we thought was the objective at the time) without the AJA detecting us. We went for it, accompanied by the POW, who behaved very well the whole time(props whoever you were).

Well, we crept through the brush, over to our right we saw an AJA ambush attacking our forces about 30-40 yds away. We stopped for a minute and then just kinda kept walking (we looked kinda like AJA since I had taken off my jacket due to heat and we had the prisoner walking up front most of the time). They didn't notice us, or if they did they ignored us. We got a little lost but kept going, and then finally saw the helicopter through heavy brush. There were some enemy soldiers there, so I (having just a pistol and looking like I kinda belonged) walked out to check it out, there were about ten hostile "dead" soldiers there, since they were all dead the other 2 guys came out and we flipped the flag on the helicopter to green. SUCCESS!!!! A few more "dead" strolled in till we had about 15 "prisoners"(they also "behaved" well). Then came the sad part, a referee came and told us that the helicopter was not an objective (capturing Marshy was), and that in fact the helicopter was an "uncapturable" point. :( He let us return to our unit in time to help escort the AJA leader back to exfil. So our exploit was for nothing, but I still count it a successful mission, and a lot of fun. Great job to the other two guys in our provisionary squad, it was great to work with you guys. That was the my favorite mission of the day, even if it was by accident!!!!

It was nice to get back out and play after a nearly 2 yr break from playing. I saw a lot of familiar faces and quite a few new ones as well. I had a lot of fun and got to play on both teams - I had almost no issues with hit calling, and was really happy with all the sportsmanship out there. Thanks to everyone who showed up and played by the rules, that makes these games so much more enjoyable.

Gotta say this little spot of mine was amazingly effective. I took out over a dozen of the MARSOC and Ranger baddies from here, including Mosin himself. Only Troub spotted me, and well, so did my medic, who promptly shot me from behind before coming over to pick me back up.

For my first event, that was a blast! Great players all around. Enjoyed meeting you everybody. Definitely got my cardio in as the MARSOC medic haha. Thanks to the bastards for running a great event. Can't wait for the next one!

Hey Conzo, were you at the castle in the second half? I remember trying to save a medic with rock-paper-scissors. I had been pasted pretty good when our squad took off from the base. I was shot and healed like three times, consuming the resources of our medic. He was about out of tourniquet strips, so I bled out and went back. Timing was awful, considering that we were just about to push up. I wouldn't blame my squad mates if they forever called me on this.

I thought the day was a success. I was on Bulldog 1 MARSOC. Bulldog 1 was amazing, and our squad personally performed very well. Administration could have been better, but I think that is due to the last minute changes forced upon the Bastard's by the paintballer's.  :P The pizza run was a lot more timely this time around, and I  think that speaks allot for the bastard's event planning. Because nobody wants to be sitting around waiting for their promised pizza, when there is a fight to be had.

My personal faverit part of the day. . . Capturing Marshy. He got so into the role that we had to carry him part of the way twice, and even pry him loose from a tree. Good times! I also really enjoyed when we got ambushed (part 2) and then had to; Flank left, hold the top of the hill, and then push to west point.

All in all, I had a great time and look forward to going to any events the Bastard's choose to host.

Haha that medic was me and the other was my buddy! We were in outlaw 2. I still maintain the helicopter capture as a personal victory!

Yeah, that was probably me. I seem to remember something similar. I was wearing the backwards ballcap and black plate carrier.

Cool. I made a mess of it really; I was wearing several strips that I could have given to you at the spawn. But I was in a hurry. Them's the sticks, I guess. :-\

Haha don't even worry about. I always managed to find some medical strips. Only ran out once, and that was trying to take the village at the beginning of the day.

I always enjoy a good recap,so here's what I saw: in the first portion of the game I witnessed 4-5 different people who were denying hits, and one who was staring me in the face while doing so,I have never encountered cheating of the sort,so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept firing. I also got footage of a large part of the day from the AJA side and will be uploading it after I de-frag my hard drive. Throughout the day it seemed like everyone was able to stick together very well and my squad cohesion was nearly perfect, which made me extremely pleased as I generally try to fight alongside my other Vipers (members of N.O.V.A). With that said we gained a new full time teammember by attending this event so that's pretty nifty.

Let's talk about leadership...the AJA side seemed to only do well when making massive pushes with all members within 80 feet of eachother. Also there was a bit of confusion when we would come to a stalemate or when the question 'where is spawn?' Came up. Lastly, there was a point in the day where myself,Yoda, and new member Smoke, were left on the front left hillside near tippman towers after our forces had been destroyed at the Pentagon. We decided to fight our way back to the rest of our team and as we were doing so an admin (didn't catch his name or callsign) walked past us saying "good job guys" which was fine at the time, but then as we pushed back down the hill towards Tobacco Road,we hear our squad mate Amp say that we need to call ourselves out and return to the front lines. Confused,we don't heed that call until about 5 minutes of him repeating it,so we finally call ourselves out and move down to the road where we meet the same admin from before and he tells us we need to advance and get in the fight....I'm not entirely sure what that is all about, but unless HS staff asks me to clear a portion of the field for their reasons then,I'm going to continue fighting as a "pocket of resistance",we would have gotten shot by the entire JSOC force when they turned around, but we could've taken many of them out before that.

Finally,I thought it was really fun and comedic to be a rebel and I enjoyed all the banter/war crimes that came with my role. Thanks bastards for hosting, this was a great event, and I can't wait to hear more about that milsim west partnership #MilsimwEast :P

I also had a good time playing the AJA/rebel role and would gladly stand with the rebels again and work on keeping up my accent for next time. Every infidel swine I came across seemed to be calling there hits well.
I did feel like this event was a bit more chaotic and unorganized compared to the previous two milsim/realsims i've been to that was hosted by the Bastards. Now I realize that the Bastards didn't have complete if any control over that.
One thing I noticed was that there didn't seem to be as much camaraderie as usual, that could have just been an influence of Jihadists vs Marsoc. For example; I felt like I heard less "nice shot", "good job guys", "great push guys", and "good game" both friendly to friendly and AJA to marsoc/marsoc to AJA.

Things I feel could be improved:
-I should probably study the map more, but when I asked where respawn is at one point I was told "west point" I had no idea where west point was so I just followed the road and looked for friendlies. I think it would be easier/simpler for newer players/uneducated players if there were signs at each major point/base and maybe some signs on the side of the road pointing towards each major point. I also think that would add some ascetics for immersion. I don't know about you, but I dislike asking for directions and dislike being constantly asked for directions. I think it would definitely look more like a Afghan village of some sort.
-As in little league Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, and Football I think we should have an after game "good game high five lineup" or whatever you want to call it. Yes, to some guys it may seem childish, but this is game/lifestyle based on honor, camaraderie, and just having fun.
-This is America and this is a sport where we honor those paying the ultimate sacrifice for us, so where is our before game Star Spangled Banner singing? I don't think it should necessarily be sung at every game (although I would not oppose such a thing), but at least at every milsim/realsim.

All in all I had a good time and would recommend a bastard hosted event to anyone.
Allahu Akbar! Aloha Snackbar! And death to the Infidels. We will not fail the fearless leader next time.

This should be added to the list of things to do during the build time.

If we can fund it or support it with extra scraps, then yeah it'll probably be worth doing. If not then you can always ask for a map at the registration. They have about 70-100 printed out on hand.

I had a great time at this event, I noticed that up until the lunch break just over half way through the day the AJA were dominating the field and almost instantly after lunch the MARSOC and Rangers completely wrecked the AJA and took just about every bit of ground the AJA had. I don't know if you would say the AJA won or the Rangers/MARSOC won, but it was a great game either way. I would say its all about how you look at it. If you were basing it off of a ground held for amount time, AJA won. But if you are talking about at the end of the day who had the most ground, MARSOC/Rangers won with no trouble. (seeing there were about 15 AJA left after lunch vs quite a lot of MARSOC/Rangers.) One thing I would love to see at more and more of the MilSim games would be more effort to keep people in the game after lunch, Both times I have been to a MilSim by the Bastards I have seen the infamous lunch break absolutely devastate the player count, morale and energy, (freaking pizza kills the energy.)

Loved the game, keep it up guys.
