That doesn't make sense. The roads around the AO are still open so they would have to close down the street or we need to be j walking in full gear.

Btw, the burned down part is that opening on the far left of the image.

I should go dig up the blue prints of the place and make copies for the Mia guys.

Bet they will clean out the parking lot. I doubt they would keep the glass from the busted car windows in the only parking lot near the place. I do wonder where the parking will be. As I stated in my last post, there was a part of the factory that burned down that is big enough to fit a bunch of cars. The other parking lot (with the broken car glass)  is a good walk down a public street.

There will be no vehicles.

I can see them being used but I don't know how cleaned out everything is. Last time I was there two years ago, I wouldn't want to drive over a bunch of nails and screws. Other problem is there will be not that much room on the ground. The only open area is where a part of the plant burned down years ago. That spot of land isn't that large. You could drive though the area where they built the cars BUT there are holes that can shallow up a car in different places.

Michigan Commerce - Airsoft Guns Allowed / WTS/WTT guns, Russian gear

Need to thin out the weapons I don't use anymore. F2f would be great, I live in Desrborn.

-A&K M60
The metal beast that is the old Vietnam era M60. Comes with a brand new auto winding box. What is a auto winding box? In short, you don't have to press any buttons to loan ammo into the gun on the box mag like most box mags. The box mag is brand new. Comes with a Mad Bull 6.03 tight bore barrel. Only problem with the gun is that it doesn't fire. The box mag works but not the gun. To be honest, I bet I didn't attach a wire when I did something with the gearbox. Think I did some upgrades in the gearbox but I did that years ago and I forgot. My loss is your gain I guess. $225

Im open for any Russian weapons. AK47s, TT33s, if it's Russian, I will listen to your offer. No VSS, already have one. No AK74 with wooden stock, already have one. No SVDs either.  If there's wood on it. It must be real wood. No fake wood. Always looking for Russian gear like Smershes (SVD, RPK, PKM) and K6 helmets. Also looking for King Arms SVD mid caps or high caps.

God, I have gone here countless times. The biggest problem I have is a lot of the concrete stairs are worn away so much that they are basically 1/4 of the size of a normal step. You really need a flashlight for this. I will not be able to pay for this for two more weeks, hopefully there will be room left. There's camping grounds at the Packard? I'm going to be camping there for sure. Always wanted to spend the night at this place.

And some videos of mine of my trips there. After a few trips, you recorded everything.

Which force will be the MiA team be on? Need to make sure I pick the correct force.

Got another Russian coming. Stupid question: is this basically a milsim west event?

Airsoft Discussion / Re: Military training guides (pdf links given)

Welcome :)

They are pretty fun to read, mostly the super crazy ones. I found one about how to maintain and use a tomahawk cruise missile and how to operate an M1A1 tank. Those are fun.

After looking though a bunch of the books, I say on average there's about 20% information that can be applied to Airsoft. But knowledge is power on the battlefield.

Here's some military manuals (PDFs) I found online. Many are older and outdated but the basic information is still useful that can be applied to Airsoft. Either for the back yard to milsims. I will be updating this thread with new PDFs that I find that would be useful.

Urban combat:

http://www.bits.de/NRANEU/others/amd-us-archive/FM90-10-1Pt1C1(95).pdf

Combat focus:

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/7-1/fm7-1.pdf

Sniper training:

http://militarynewbie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/TC-23-14-Sniper-Training-Employment.pdf

Mostly how to shoot sniper rifles but some good information on ghillie suits and how to hide.

Non U.S tactics, still in English:

https://fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm100-2-1.pdf

Good one for the Soviet and Russian players. The 'play book' for the Soviets if there was an attack on Europe during the 80s. Made by the U.S military.

Misc:

http://www.survivalebooks.com/usmilitarymanuals.html

500 manuals and training guides from the 50s to 90s. Ranging from camouflage during Vietnam war to how to work an M60 machine gun.

Question: If I wear a bleached gorka, green and tan with a green smersh, would I be on green or tan?

28
I'm so in. I can go tan or green. Went to MUTC last year, had lots of fun and I can't wait for this. Guessing MIA will be green.

Airsoft Events / Re: Michigan v. Ohio MilSim - 07NOV2015

I only know two people who actually use flecktarn so I can see why that's not on the list.

To be blunt, I would rather sound stupid online and be able to play in the game, might be on the other team sadly than driving an hour to the game, wearing a camo that's not on the list and not being able to play because of that thus wasting time and money. And like what I said in my other post, I was given the green light last time but I don't know if I'm good this time, that's all.

For the people who play with Russian kits, it can be a bitch to find the right size for uniforms. Mostly the bigger sizes like myself. Woodland, multicam, desert, the basics, it's easy to find in all shapes and sizes. But the Russians, just to find a size that would fit my frame is hard. I got lucky with the KLMK that I found. I bet more people would play Russians if they could wear different green based Russian camo. As a side note, I'm trying to find some Partizan camo before the game. I would rather play with my Michigan brothers than being a traitor.

Thought it would be a good idea to have a stronger 'U.S vs Russia' feel in these games.

I shall stop my bitching now gentlemen.

How many Michigan guys are actually on tan side? Or is it everyone from Ohio?
