Michigan Commerce - Airsoft Guns Allowed / WTB: ammo boxes
« on: October 17, 2015, 09:42:49 PM »
I'm not looking for the metal .50 cal ammo boxes but the larger boxes for mortars/tank/artillery shells.

I live in Livoina so I can travel up to an hour away to pick up.

I bet it's only the real, SS looking Partizan camo pattern but can we wear any green based Russian Camo? I was given the green light last mil sim about wearing KLMK but just double checking.

Did you pay from the PayPal balance or from a debit/credit card? Long story made short. I had the same problem (but with something else) but I paid using my debit card though my bank, as a gift. Called PayPal and the person said go to my bank and fill out a document at my bank about online scams. Filled it out and 10 days later, got my money back.

Good luck.

Airsoft Discussion / Painting guns
« on: September 08, 2015, 11:08:41 PM »
For painting an airsoft gun, which brands of paint would be the best? I'm getting a fake wood M14 and I don't like how the fake wood looks like. I doubt my model paints will work on this let alone stand up to the abuse of playing in the field.

Due to I'm just painting the fake wood and not the metal, can I just unscrew a few body screws and slide off the plastic without to much work?

If I remember correctly, if he/she stole your gun, if ithe total amount is at least $500 and you have his/her address, the cops can take legal action against them. i would need to talk to my dad's lawyer/friend about a case like this and post more info if that helps.

Last year at Walmart during Halloween time, there was a full 'navy seals' load out with BDUs and gear for less than $50.

The thing I am seeing the most of being a trend with the past two years is these beasts of semi/burst builds that quite frankly worry me.

Why does that worry you?

Airsoft Discussion / 'Riot' shields and MiA
« on: August 17, 2015, 08:58:47 AM »
What's everyone's feelings towards using riot/ballistic shields for airsoft? Are there any rules for the MIA games?

I was offered by a welder friend for him to make me a full size Russian VM Fort shield for much much less than the ones online. Great addition to my Russian kit but at the same time, I don't feel like spending the money then finding out I can't use them or if this is super shunned among the MIA people.

Airsoft Discussion / Bang kills
« on: August 15, 2015, 07:32:14 PM »
I was at an indoor field today and there was the whole bang kill special rule in effect. On paper its a good idea. Don't want to come up from someone from behind and shoot them point blank. But that's on paper. Meanwhile in the field, it was annoying. I would stick the barrel from around  the corner a few inches then someone yells bang. I would be dead. Happened over and over again. Wouldn't even see my body and just call bang on me. I was so annoyed that I honestly just started to say bang every time I went around a corner for two games. The thing that really annoyed me was that you can bang people up to six feet away. Not arms length but just run into a room and yell bang and you kill five people.

In one game, I was next to someone in a window about a two feet long by foot high. The kid next to me was on the left and I was on the right. Someone came up, yelled bang while pointing the gun at the kid on the left. Didn't notice me, I pop up, shot the banger in the face. He gets pissy because even though he didn't notice me till I shot him, he said bang and that meant everyone within six feet is dead. Never pointed the gun at me. Whatever.

Rants over. Now it's your turn to talk about your feelings towards bang kills.

Airsoft Discussion / Trends in airsoft
« on: August 12, 2015, 09:28:49 AM »
I don't know if it's just me but it seems like Russian load outs are now getting more and more popular among airsoft players in the past year. Am I the only one to notice this or am I over thinking?

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with having a Russian load out. Honesty it's your money and you can do what you want and I also have a Russian load out for those hot days. My point is, why is the Russian load outs getting more and more popular? Is it because of this following online getting more and more popular for Russian military items in general? Is it all of the modern shooters with Russians that people play? Or could it be like me that I started a load out because I like the gear? Or is it something else?

multicam. I have been playing with the MIA crowd for around 2 years now, before the Russian invasion. When I first started with MiA, I noticed something that I could be wrong. To be short to the point, people with multicam spend the most money, over all on their gear I.e guns, ammo pouches, helmets, etc vs most people with green camouflage. Seems like most (80%) people on the green side are not the 'hardcore' players, just people who only care about shooting people in the face, not all the fancy gear they can buy. Then the tan team seems more along the lines of just spending their money on the gear because they want to look cool while shooting people in the face. Just like the Russian gear, I have a multicam set and I play among the tan because at first, it felt weird playing with kids next to me when I was on green side then I switched to be tan to be with the adults. Has this always been like this, the multicam crowd spending a bunch of money on their gear?

The future: what's next cool thing for airsoft? There will be more polar stars than aegs? Green gas/propane powered main weapons vs battery powered main weapons? Switching to WWII gear?

Just trying to pick at everyone's brain.
