Military training guides (pdf links given)
« on: March 30, 2016, 07:41:32 PM »
Here's some military manuals (PDFs) I found online. Many are older and outdated but the basic information is still useful that can be applied to Airsoft. Either for the back yard to milsims. I will be updating this thread with new PDFs that I find that would be useful.

Urban combat:

Combat focus:

Sniper training:

http://militarynewbie.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/TC-23-14-Sniper-Training-Employment.pdf

Mostly how to shoot sniper rifles but some good information on ghillie suits and how to hide.

Non U.S tactics, still in English:

Good one for the Soviet and Russian players. The 'play book' for the Soviets if there was an attack on Europe during the 80s. Made by the U.S military.

Misc:

http://www.survivalebooks.com/usmilitarymanuals.html

500 manuals and training guides from the 50s to 90s. Ranging from camouflage during Vietnam war to how to work an M60 machine gun.

Thanks, I really appreciate these guides. Tactics manuals are some of my favorite reading material. The only things that didn't really pertain to airsoft are the parts about ammunition (who uses 25mm rounds anyway?). Great reads.

I've read a bunch of these over the years you've gotta sort of pick and choose for airsoft related knowledge but there is some good info through them all.

Welcome :)

They are pretty fun to read, mostly the super crazy ones. I found one about how to maintain and use a tomahawk cruise missile and how to operate an M1A1 tank. Those are fun.

After looking though a bunch of the books, I say on average there's about 20% information that can be applied to Airsoft. But knowledge is power on the battlefield.
