Need Help Shimming
« on: June 14, 2017, 03:33:17 PM »
Hellp everyome, Ive been watching alot of DIY videod and have learned a handful about the "shimming" process. I have a set of shims coming, I was wondering if there is any technicians or experianced people who could help me do so? I want it to be done properly and quite frankly, perfectly. I live in Petoskey, MI. If anyone nearby would be willing to do so, I am offering an easy $50 for the job.

Thank you :)

I'm no where near you but this isn't a bad idea at all. Shimming is a bit tough to learn just by watching a video or reading about it. Granted now with youtube it's much easier than it was pre youtube. But it's still easier to learn from someone.

@T6e9a Would be the guy to talk to but I'm not sure how close he is to you.

I have been shimming for quite some time. But Petosky is a solid 4 hours from me. Shimming is quite a bit trial and error.

TheAirsoftTech has a lot of great teching tutorials, including shimming.

As well, im not currently taking customer projects still.
