To me it sounds like you need to learn how to use google. Every one of these questions can be answered with google , do your own work, you dont need to be spoon fed.

Pretty close. I purchased a template that was produced from a real lanchester. I think the heat  hole pattern is slightly different nothing to  major or very noticeable.

Drill and tap that spot and run a set screw in the spot to hold it in place

Airsoft Discussion / Custom built Lanchester smg. in progress.
« on: October 09, 2016, 02:10:06 AM »
Since no one makes a lanchester I decided to make one from the ground up. The closest thing out is the Sten, and a few people have done a conversion to turn it into a lanchester. I was thinking about doing this as well but decided that It would be a lot cooler to make it from scratch and make it a hpa gas blowback with programmable features like the polarstar.

This is what the lanchester looks like:

My goals are to have a relatively close representation of the lanchester. Im not going to be ultra strict on making it look purely authentic but I will get it pretty close. I am also going to make the blowback action as strong as I can possibly get it. I have a ~.5 pound steel slug in the blowback chamber that will be striking the blowback stop at ~100 fps (@120 fps). The total impact impulse on the blowback stop will be ~105 joules, that should be pretty crisp on the shoulder.

My current progress on the receiver is that I have all the major holes drilled and I have the slots laid out for machining. I am hoping to find some time tomorrow to finish the slots and clean up all the burrs.

Here is a picture of the receiver in its current state. (yes I know my floor is a fucking disaster, Im working on that too)

This is a picture of the recoil system/ blowback.

The recoil system and the actual firing of the bb are two different chambers. The air will be supplied by my hpa tank and will enter the system into the aluminum block, the air is all directed backwards towards the steel slug, it will be forced back very rapidly. Once the steel slug moves back 1.75 inches, the aluminum tube will no longer be inside the slug and it will allow the air to escape into the chamber that moves the nozzle forward and fires the bb. The bb firing chamber is not shown in the pictures since i have not finished making it yet. I am hoping to finish that part by this coming Friday.

my next steps are to machine the front receiver block and the hopup unit. Both will be made from steel. once those are completed I will do some testing to make sure everything is working nicely together, then I will start making the wood stock. I have talked to a guy from europe that makes cnc reproduction stocks out of walnut, he quoted me $100 plus shipping. I may go this route since I know it will turn out very nice and I know it will take me considerable time to do all the necessary work by hand.

I also need to design and make the electronics circuit. It will be rather simple and include semi and full auto along with being able to adjust my air flow times.

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions.

What about one of those Facebook apps that goes right on the list where your other apps and games are. It could be strictly for selling and buying and it also links back to here. I dont have any clue how to make or implement it but I think it would be helpful. Also if we could get a link in the top pinned post that tells viewers to go here for sales that would be helpful too. I see it almost everyday on Facebook that someone was completely unaware that these forums existed.

Tech Questions / Re: Best hopup chamber in general.
« on: October 04, 2016, 01:44:46 PM »
Going to be using mp40/Sten mags since they are the same for the lanchester. I will just machine a custom hopup unit from steel, it won't be too much work and will be able to withstand the heavy abuse I am planning for this gun. I have been testing the recoil system a bit and it is pretty strong, substantially more then a .22lr. I need to make sure everything is pretty robust so the gun don't beat it's self apart.

I just came to realize that I will be feeding the mag from the side and not the bottom, so simply rotating the chamber 90 degrees like I originally planned will not work since it will only make the bb hook left or right. I now must completely make a new one from scratch or modify one to feed from the side instead of the bottom. It shouldn't be too hard , just a oversight.

The reason I was thinking of the vsr10 chamber is because they are round and will be easier to mount inside the tube of the receiver. I also like that they use the pistols buckings that have the nice heavy duty rubber seal meant for gas blowback abuse. I have also done some custom work on my hopup chamber for my vsr10 it it preforms extremely well. I just wasnt sure if there was anything amazing out that I was unaware of, I havent been following the tech side of airsoft for the last couple years.

This is where I am currently. I need to cut the windows out and then deburr the inside of the tube. Then I need to get the tool makers to make my internals for me.

Tech Questions / Best hopup chamber in general.
« on: October 02, 2016, 01:42:04 PM »
I am making a custom built gun from the ground up. I am building a lanchester. I plan on using a pre-made hopup chamber and I was wondering if any particular type was supreme over all? to explain more, is a vsr-10 chamber more stable then a g36 or a m4? I have a preference for the chamber to be round like a vsr-10 chamber but I am capable of machining any chamber down to fit my needs. I have looked at gbbr chambers but I do not know if any of them are worth a damn, I have a G&P WOC and that chamber is rather shitty and not consistent, I am unsure of the other brands out there.

I plan on doing a step by step of my build so everyone can see, I am planning on making it a HPA gun with as strong as a blowback recoil as I can possibly get. I have the HPA engine already designed and drawn up on solid works, I just need to get the tool makers at my job to run it in the cnc lathe. I have also already began machining the receiver. Ill post my working log in a few days. right now Im just looking for info on a hopup chamber.

this is what I desire my gun to look like once completed.

Just a question, is it $115 for the glm and the 3 shells? Seems too low to be true.

I have a helmet and very nice full face mask for sale and a few other items. if your interested let me know and ill cut you a even better deal.

The whole body should be in the box except the butt stock. I bought this gun off eBay with a polarstar engine inside, I didn't want the mp5 body so I tore the gun down to get the polarstar engine. I'm not sure of the brand but the body is metal.

I live in Wayne, 48184. You can come pick it up or I'll drive up to 15 miles for $10. If you want it shipped to you it's going to cost $25.
