Airsoft Discussion / WW1/WW2 Airsoft in the Mitten
« on: December 18, 2016, 11:10:09 AM »
Hi guys,

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if there are any active WW2 (or even WW1), airsoft players on our site. I'm not, but it seems to be a section of the community that's been growing. I remember when it was near impossible to find period weapons, and now their is a great selection. Just interested to know the level of interest.

Thanks!

Morley

Airsoft Discussion / Rations - Do I Have to Eat That?
« on: September 05, 2016, 11:07:17 AM »
Good morning Michigan,

My question here is how "in-character" for a lack of a better term you guys like to be. Some of us on the reenacting side for non-air-soft love to eat period food when we are in uniform, and I was wondering if any of you guys did this when in milsim events.

Though in all honesty Roman rations from AD100 test better than a MRE.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I would really enjoy eating MRE's and plan to stock up for any milsim event.

Clothing & Load Bearing Gear / Help for a guy with glasses
« on: August 29, 2016, 11:42:28 AM »
Good afternoon,

I wear glasses, and I am blind as a bat without them. I cannot wear contacts. What do you guys do for full seal protection? Any recommend things that go over them? Is there a way to make prescription shooting/sports glasses full seal?

Oh and I did check out the pinned thread, saw these: http://www.esseyepro.com/Profile-TurboFan_53_detail.html

They may be a little pricey, which is why I started this.

Event Planning / Looking for Fields in the Lansing Area
« on: August 29, 2016, 11:39:17 AM »
Good afternoon,

I am looking for a piece of property or a field around here that the team I am trying to get together could use. Let me know if you guys know of somebody or have a piece yourself you'd be willing to let us use. We'd like to use it weekly for training, come January.

Thanks, Morley112

Good afternoon all,

I thought I'd give this a shot. I'm a college student at LCC, and have been playing airsoft for roughly 3 years. I used to run games with my buddies back in high school, on a piece of land they had access to, but am looking for something more these days.

With my college schedule I can't really travel to events so I was hoping there would be a group around here that did Milsim. I don't have high expectations, 8 or so guys a week would be fine with me. I'd be willing to help start a unit, few of my buddies still in high school would probably be interested. If someone owns some land that is adequate and legal to play on, let me know and we could talk about trying to get something going.

Really I am looking for a milsim group that's local and active, I'd like to play at least every two weeks (and preferably every week). If anyone knows any one or wants to try to start one let me know!
