The new Mass Effect looks dope. Odd choice of music though.
Well, the (leaked) story is that you are a human sent to the Andromeda galaxy alone. I think that it's supposed to be that the guy in the video is listening to Johnny Cash. I imagine he would have a huge library of music being that he was going alone.

My mind was blown with Dishonored 2 and I absolutely cannot wait 1.5 years for Mass Effect: Andromeda.

This is my WIP loadout for Operation: White Mountain on the Jihadist side. The only differences will be that I will have eyepro, a black short-sleeve GSAT T-shirt instead of the shirt I'm wearing in the pictures, and I will hopefully have my Coyote Brown mini-MAP by then. If not, I'll be running RG on the CB.

Hello I'm signing up for MiA-Team on the Jihadist.
+1 Prepayment will arrive soon, thank you.
Well this is awkward. It seems we have similar names.

Clothing & Load Bearing Gear / Re: Plate carriers and chest rigs
« on: June 08, 2015, 12:15:29 AM »
I prefer plate carriers over chest rigs because of the "hugger" feel that they give. The plates inside hold them rigid so they don't sag, and if properly fit they shouldn't sway on your body at all.
Chest rigs also tend to put all the mags/equipment lower over your gut rather than on your chest. Depending on your form, one of those styles may be better than the other, but I find that having the mags/equipment higher up allows me to lay prone easier, as there isn't a cluster of gear over my belly.
Of course plate carriers also provide more space to mount pouches and such, but that typically comes at the cost of being heavier. In the end, it mostly depends on how you set it up.
Plate carriers will also cost more, as you won't find a truly good plate carrier for $40.

Now about color:
I used to use all-OD gear (pretty much) and now I'm switching to all Coyote Brown. In fact, I just today placed an order for the CB replacement of my OD belt setup. Why? Because OD Green does not go well with any tan-based camouflage color. I want to be able to wear Woodland MARPAT and Desert MARPAT clothing without switching up my gear, and have it still work together. Those two patterns both have CB in them, so CB just works great with both. In fact, Coyote Brown goes well with pretty much everything...

The one I'm going with is the same spec wise as the i7 i was gonna go with but cheaper by 40 bucks, only lacks intergrated graphics so my 970 will be handling all graphics system wide. No need for integrated graphics when its just a pain in the ass to deal with anyways.
Well also keep in mind that Xeons do not have unlocked multipliers, thus true overclocking is not achievable with them. The i7 will outperform a Xeon of equal spec. in gaming, and that is not because of integrated graphics.
I would only use a Xeon if it was in a server/rendering build with ECC RAM. Otherwise the i7 will do just as good in most applications and outperform in games.

Simple Terms:

Gaming = i5
Rendering / Editing = i7
Servers / Heavy Workloads = Xeon

Link?
Click on the image in his post. It's actually an embedded video.
I hate the way video linking works on this forum.

Nice build Stinger.

And yes, it can run Crysis ;).
But can it run Crysis in 3K downsampled to 1080p?
Haha, I was once on a laptop friend, and it was not nearly as nice as yours.

Ogre, drop the Xeon and go with a better GPU (the 980 is killer). I have a 3770K and it does just fine with the video processing end of things. Plus the i7 series is better at running games than Xeons are (theoretically).

Stinger, get that muzzle outa the dirt. ;)

Seriously, the kit looks good, but I think a boonie and goggles would look much better. It'd make it a sweet RECCE kit. While I know some guys like their facemasks for protection sake, it really kills the look... Maybe go with goggles and a lower mesh, or just be bad to the bone and skip a lower all together.
Knief caught me at a bad time, okay? I was swinging around or something and the barrel grazed the grass, haha.
I bought some WileyX glasses from Mosin, but they fog so bad with the gaskets that I can't seem to ever use them. The Sly Profit (that mask) never fogs and is so comfortable. I integrated my comms into it too. And pssshhh...I'm not a boonie kinda guy...

One day I'll switch to just some glasses and maybe a mouth guard or something, but right now I'm working on finishing the plate carrier and belt setup.

Recruitment / Ghost Squadron Airsoft Team
« on: June 04, 2015, 12:59:58 PM »
Team Description:
The Ghost Squadron Airsoft Team is a MilSim-oriented group of airsoft players. We focus on using team-based tactics to accomplish goals through effective communication and practice.
We currently operate in the southeast Michigan area, and mainly attend events at Hell's Survivors and Action Paintball. While we commonly attend recreational events and open-plays, we focus mainly on MilSim events for the added challenge and the necessity of teamwork.
While we play to have fun, we also take airsoft seriously, and we expect team members to be committed enough to put in real effort. We do not take lone-wolves, and we do not take the unmotivated. However, a dedicated team-player will be a perfect fit, and will find that we are not always so serious.
We also focus on putting out content through YouTube, Google+, and Facebook.
An enormous number of videos of our airsoft gear and gameplay can be found here (while this is my channel, it is also the primary channel of the team): https://www.youtube.com/user/CStingerGhost1
My Google+ profile (again, this is the team's primary G+ profile): https://plus.google.com/b/109054449257929624792/+CStingerGhost1/posts?pageId=109054449257929624792

Basic Application Details:
Age bracket (this is very flexible): 16-20

Camouflage: MARPAT and three-color; While we currently use only the woodland varieties of those patterns, we will soon be adding desert versions. NO MULTICAM

While it is not explicitly required that you have good gear, it is more than often the case that the quality of the gear you have reflects your level of experience. There are of course exceptions, and in those cases we will notice.

It is a requirement that you have a primary weapons platform capable of feeding 5.56mm STANAG magazines unless you use a SAW.

Some may view the PFT section of our candidate process as a bit "over the top." That's understandable. It is not simply to ensure that the candidate is adequately fit (although that is important to us). It helps us gauge the candidate's motivation.
In fact, the candidate process as a whole is more a test of how well the candidate interfaces with the team rather than what the candidate is capable of doing.
