Retailer Reviews & Discussion / [Score: B-] Russian Patches World
« on: October 26, 2017, 06:34:20 PM »

Ordered a few patches from Russian Patches World (russianpatchesworld.com) just to test the waters. Took about 6 weeks to arrive state-side. This is an RU based seller who claims to have a huge inventory at less than China prices. PayPal address is one of those 3rd party routing services. They fixed their website contact page but their login page still does not work. I had to contact them after 6 weeks, and they actually told me their login page is not functional. They replied in English, no noticeable language barrier. Never received any confirmation other than the generic PayPal email that says "you sent money to ..." Essentially this website reaks of being a scam, but apparently they're legit; just expect a long wait.

Pros:
Very affordable prices!
Some patches you can't find elsewhere.
Bubble-mailer, not standard envelope.

Cons:
Some quality problems, expected
Slow to ship, post-marked almost 3 weeks after order placed (maybe Russian post marking is different?).
Slow US shipping, about 6weeks.
After shipping cost, price is average.

Retailer Reviews & Discussion / [Score: B+] Tactical Outfitters
« on: October 26, 2017, 06:23:49 PM »
Ordered a single patch from Tactical Outfitters (gettactical.net) this summer; it shipped out the same day and arrived about one work-week later. Would have given them an A rating, but they just tossed the unprotected woven patch in standard mailing envelope so it came in a bit dirty and the merrowing was kinda messed up from being stored improperly with other hook patches on top. Not a big deal, but not very professional for a patch in the $8 to $13 price range. Overall I'd definitely order from them again.

Ordered a single, very overpriced patch, from Weapons Grade Waifus this summer. Received a small bubble mailer with nothing but small handwritten "Thank You" note inside. Received no reply from them. Had to get PayPal involved to get my money back. Giving them a D- because at least they accept PayPal, so my butt was covered.

Real Steel / Dual-Role Battle-Sight Options; Elcan Alternative?
« on: January 03, 2016, 11:12:11 PM »

I'm looking for some alternatives to the Elcan 1-4x adjustable dual-role battle-sight. Tried an airsoft Elcan 1-4x a few years back and I've always enjoyed my classic tube style adjustable magnification scopes; but I've been having a hard time finding an affordable option for the dual-role battle-sight niche. I don't have a particular price range or reticule I'm looking for, I'm just wondering what others have used that fill this niche category and any opinions you had on them. Thanks.

Carried this thread over from Proboards, original archive is located here (http://miairsoft.proboards.com/thread/16228/post-tactical-vest-plate-carriers).

Probably the rarest piece of kit Ive ever seen, so I had to snap it up.
Right: Mid/Late-development prototype/factory-sample of Eagle's SPC from 2007 in Small or Medium.
Left: Standard model SPC 2010 in Large for comparison.

[EDIT] Corrected broken image link.

Well I promised if there was a new MiA website that I'd contribute some sort of new original content. Large image warning (850x7400pix).
For the foreseeable future this will remain a MiA.org exclusive, so please don't repost this elsewhere as I hope it will help generate views for MiA. If you want to link to it, please link to this page and not to the image directly. I hope it will help someone.
