Firestorm V After Action Report
« on: October 17, 2015, 09:22:21 PM »
Thanks to everyone that came out this Saturday for Operation: Firestorm V! I saw a lot of new faces out there and a lot of old time players as well. We hope that both factions had an awesome time!

A special thanks goes out to our Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana players! I hope today was worth the drive and we hope you enjoyed playing with our statewide community!

I will say, sportsmanship was great today. I heard of no major complaints of either team today, way to go guys! There will always be issues with players calling or not calling hits, that's airsoft though. Even then, other than some players moving out of bounds (happens every outdoor event), nothing bad.

Coalition Forces (Tan Team) won the event by one objective point, with Socialist Forces (Green Team) coming in a close second.

Firefights were spread-out, sporadic, but very intense while they lasted. Players on both sides were very aggressive.

Outstanding game overall, best time I've had in all my years of going to Bangor. They guys from Black Ops Airsoft were the most fun group I've ever run with, and it was great fun being their squad leader throughout the day. The sportsmanship was top-notch, we had no serious problems with hit calling, and everyone in attendance seemed to place having fun on a pedestal the entire game. Thanks Canto and Glen for having us out there all day, the event was well-run, well-played, and well-organized, and being back in Bangor was a joy overall.
You see, my mule don't like people laughin'... He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Why don't you cut it out with them negative waves?

Finally some warm weather! The hail in the morning was new, in all my years of playing Flashfire/Firestorm I can't say I've ever seen that.

The game however was great, not even a bit of rain, I had a great time with only minimal issues, as always thanks to you and Glen for hosting us again this year!

Adding my camera's photos to the pot. John if you ever want to borrow it again feel free to ask me!

Thank you again Canto and the Flak guys and girls as well as Glen for the awesome time!

I will say that as a veteran of Firestorm, this was one of the best times I have had. Green time was fierce all day with prolonged firefights, hard charges, and just moving all day. It made it challenging and fun all day.

Tan team, you guys and gals made it a blast to run with. I was able to assign missions and let you loose. Comms were horrible all day but we made it work. Special shout out to the Extreme Prejudice guys, Hawkeye, Hondo, Tiny Tim, the SABR guys, you worked hard all day. I am sorry I did not get everyone's name but this was one of the best teams I had the privilege to command.

-The Good, the Bad, And the Ugly.-

Good - Great work on both sides. The weather stated fair all day. Both teams gave it their all and I could not ask for anything more. Great sportmanship on both sides. Their was a few incidents but that it normal and they were ironed out quickly.

Bad - The wind was strong at a few points during the day making it hard to shoot great distances.

Ugly - Radio Equipment. My Baofeng was being a pain and it seemed like most had issues with their GMRS radios as well. Either dying and no one saying anything or just not being able to get to anyone.

Again, great time!

Infantry out!

- Team FLAK
- Clan Storm - MN01

Thank you Canto and mod team for a great day. Having been to all the Firestorms I can say this was one of the best. The weather worked out and it seemed everyone was having fun.

Thank you Infantry for taking the lead on this one for tan. It was great to play with a good bunch of people on both teams. Looking foreword to next year.
