« on: October 10, 2016, 09:08:55 PM »
Does anyone out there know if the Madbull JP Enterprises Rail and Barrel will fit on an A&K SR-25 with or without Modification .

Links for items:
Rail http://madbull.com/catalog/en/products/nbsp/jp-rifles-licensed/jp-handguard-mid-9-8.html
Barrel http://madbull.com/catalog/en/products/nbsp/jp-rifles-licensed/gas-block-kit-w-jp-comp-for-jp98m.html

Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks.

I have never had hands on with either item.

That said, from closely inspecting each item, I would believe it should be doable. My concern is the threading for the Madbull barrel nut for the rail. I could be wrong in thinking that they might be specific to say, G&P. But having no prior experience with JP accessories, I cannot confirm.

Barrel should fit with minimal if any modification. I don't recall if the A&K SR25 has a hole for the gas tube in the receiver or not. I would imagine so, but the may potentially be something of note.

But TL:DR,
Receiver/handguard threading would be my biggest concern.

Okay, I was looking at pictures of the way that the JP barrel is and the way that the receiver looks and from what I've noticed the receiver looks proprietary to barrel type. maybe it's different from the full size SR-25 receivers as I have quite a few different SR-25 receivers. I've tried putting a different barrel in it that seems to match the way that the JP barrel looks and it seems more like a machine job of a modification.

Looking up the A&K SR25 receiver, I see what you are saying. As opposed to having the room for the top and side "fins", it just has one gap on top only.

So either machine the receiver for the fins, or remove the fins.
