It was officially announced today that Operation Irene this year will be at the MUTC again.
Considering how much of the AO was underutilized for OP: Homeland, it'll be nice to see more of this place.
"Additional Frago sites may include Subway, Train Wreck, Oil Refinery, Cement Plant, West Woods, in addition to Homeland 2015 AO + Afghan Villange, Hospital and etc More info by AUG"

Sounds like a good time. I was bummed that a had to skip homeland. This AO looks like it's straight out of Battlefield.
-
Homeland was definitely awesome. I'm super excited to utilize more of the facilities.
-
A week after my B-Day? May have to attend this one.
-
Bummer! I'm already signed up for the ST Octane Acedmy (http://www.stoctaneacademy.com/) in Utah for that weekend.
-
@Legionnaire You should roll with us if you end up going.
-
I'm down. I'll let you know closer to the event.
-
Iron Legion will be there again with the jeep, but greg brothers is making us go tan to avoid confusion. You guys might be fighting us all weekend
-
If I go it won't be much of a fight. I'm getting pretty good with these M203 rockets!

Just repaint the Jeep OD! Problem Solved!
-
I should be there.
-
Well, looks like I'm out boys and girls. :(
-
Have permission from the wife to attend this :)
So once registration opens and people start forming squads and such will probably be looking for someone to allow me to tag along with them.

Any idea what side MIA will be on?
Homeland was awesome and this is going to be even more awesome. Worth the drive to say the least. Only problem was there wasn't that much of a night game. More like a dusk game.
-
I'm going to go ahead and submit my vote for going green this game.
-
I plan on going as long as money permits.

It's still too early to tell. Although the majority of us prefer to roll on Bubba's team. Supposedly IRENE will be a three sided conflict with Mullens, Moore and I think Col. McKnight.
Although one of those teams could be just role players so it may still end up being two sided per usual.
-
From the Facebook event page, there's the U.S 'Delta', Somalian Army and Somalia civilians. Feels like a Black Hawk Down 2.0. Could be three sides. That would be pretty interesting. Camouflage is tri-color desert camouflage for the U.S, civilian clothes for civilians and only M81 woodland for the Somalian army.
Tickets can be bought starting August 9th.
-
Looks like they are going back to their roots with IRENE by making it Blackhawk Down themed again.... I'm not complaining about it either.

Just got an email on this:
Operation Lion Claws Military Simulation Series

CO: US Col.(RET) Danny McKnight
Delta MSG(RET) "MAD MAX" Mullen
Somali side: SFC(RET) "BUBBA" Moore and

Registration for IRENE will opens on August 9th.

:'( I'll be jumping out of airplanes then.
