This is my feeling on the subject.

When a 12 year old kid comes to an event wearing surplus or family borrowed bdus and has rank, it's pretty obvious that they are not trying to portray themselves as a service member. Hell, I remember being a young kid playing army with my buddies wearing the bdus my uncle gave me from his service in the Air Force.  I wouldn't expect someone to take patches off their family's clothing unless they were going to be keeping them, but players who purchase surplus gear that has rank/branch/unit patches on them, should remove those out of respect for the men and women who have served. These types of players should be POLITELY reminded that it's very frowned upon to wear something you personally haven't earned. If someone is going to be an all out asshole to a little kid wearing his dad's or grampa's bdus, that person can leave and not come back. There's no excuse for being a belligerent dick to someone for a simple mistake.

Now, what I do take issue with and will warrant a change or leave conversation are these players who INTENTIONALLY wear rank/unit/tabs and try to be a hard ass.

There was a player a few games ago who was all decked out in his Ranger gear ( including tabs and rank) trying to play off like he was a bad ass. Before I could say something, he must have over heard former service members saying something about it, and left.

If you're a younger player and all you have access to is a family members bdu with rank, you're not going to get picked on or harassed. Someone may say something, politely explain the situation, and everything should be cool. If they continue to give you a hard time, come see one of the hosts/refs.

If it's surplus gear you just bought, come see one of us, we can help you take it off without ruining anything.

If you show up wearing a ranger tab and SSGT rank, I guarantee, you're going to have a bad day.

Just curiosity from someone who's never messed with grenade launchers in game until recently. Is there a particular nerf football that guys are using? Been sort of digging into this recently and haven't found much consensus.

Luke

I've used these with great results.. Obviously you can find them a bit cheaper as well.

hey pagen, were there any other changes to the field?

Just the surplus of spindles and the newish riser in the castle.

They're still working on redoing the Urban area.

Ill be there +1-3. Do you know when during the day the raffle will be?

It'll be after lunch. I'm guessing around 3ish.

Having used both, footballs have FAR greater range.  I've been able to hit vehicle targets at football field ( 100 yards) length distances and have seen others reach out even farther.

The foam balls have no where near that distance and accuracy.

Roster updated.

Sorry about the delay, I've been unbelievably busy with work.

I'm working on what I think will be a very cool long playing full field game for this event.  Hopefully everyone will dig it and we can start incorporating it in to our normal REC games.

Anyone between 12-14 years old must come with an adult.

Full face masks, balaclavas, lower half mesh face protection or something along those lines are required at no limits for everyone attending due to their new insurance. They are pretty laid back about this but just make an effort especially in the safe zone.
Players 14 and under must wear full face protection/paintball masks at all times.

Things to remember:
Bring bug spray.
Bring a barrel condom.
Bring extra socks (even if it isn't raining).

Tents and Canopies are welcome to be set up in the staging area.

There will be a generator available, so charging stations can be set up.
No Limits will be offering $1 slices of pizza at lunch time.
The field owners will be asking if people want pizza when you sign in. You won't have to pay right then, it's just to get a head count so they can order enough.

Damn Pagan, this is such a great deal.

I thought so too, but apparently no one else does.  :(

I'm only selling it to fund purchasing a new bass amp so I can play for my daughter who seems to have taken an interest in music.
