I go to church at midnight or on Christmas morning with family and friends and then head over to family for a nice ham dinner. It's a great time of year for sure!

Airsoft Discussion / WW1/WW2 Airsoft in the Mitten
« on: December 18, 2016, 11:10:09 AM »
Hi guys,

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if there are any active WW2 (or even WW1), airsoft players on our site. I'm not, but it seems to be a section of the community that's been growing. I remember when it was near impossible to find period weapons, and now their is a great selection. Just interested to know the level of interest.

Thanks!

Morley

Our intro level training course plan will be done soon. Just laying out the basics on what we want to work on for the first month-month and a half. We are still kicking and growing! Just got another app today.

Noted luke!

Also the non-mre's, but still army rations would also be an option for a hardcore milsim event.

Airsoft Discussion / Rations - Do I Have to Eat That?
« on: September 05, 2016, 11:07:17 AM »
Good morning Michigan,

My question here is how "in-character" for a lack of a better term you guys like to be. Some of us on the reenacting side for non-air-soft love to eat period food when we are in uniform, and I was wondering if any of you guys did this when in milsim events.

Though in all honesty Roman rations from AD100 test better than a MRE.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I would really enjoy eating MRE's and plan to stock up for any milsim event.

Hi Zzan, is that only for the more expensive goggles? Little out of my price range. I haven't googled it yet, will do soon.

Will check out the lancers Luke thanks! $25 dollars is fair to me.

Our site is not currently done, it is WIP, but the essentials are functioning. There is everything you need to know, and the enlistment form works.

"We are located in Perry and have been playing for the last 16 years. Although our regular players range in age from 14 - 30. We try to play at least 1-2 times a month at our field. If you are interested in coming out to our field let me know. you can PM me your number and I can let you know when we are getting together next."

Rodger that! Thanks for the invitation, will shoot PM. It may be a while before some of us can get up and running, with classes just starting back up. Also I got to get some goggles that fit over my glasses, and probably a new M16. My AK47's safety has failed, thought its lasted so long and I think having such a weapon is against MIA rules. Will double check.  Will PM my phone number.

Clothing & Load Bearing Gear / Help for a guy with glasses

Good afternoon,

I wear glasses, and I am blind as a bat without them. I cannot wear contacts. What do you guys do for full seal protection? Any recommend things that go over them? Is there a way to make prescription shooting/sports glasses full seal?

Oh and I did check out the pinned thread, saw these: http://www.esseyepro.com/Profile-TurboFan_53_detail.html

They may be a little pricey, which is why I started this.

Event Planning / Looking for Fields in the Lansing Area
« on: August 29, 2016, 11:39:17 AM »
Good afternoon,

I am looking for a piece of property or a field around here that the team I am trying to get together could use. Let me know if you guys know of somebody or have a piece yourself you'd be willing to let us use. We'd like to use it weekly for training, come January.

Thanks, Morley112

Well. I've made some headway into starting a team. Looks like I've rounded up 4-5 guys.

We should have access to a privately held field/woods roughly 10 acres in size in Haslett. However we are still looking for another field that is guaranteed.

I'm co-leading with a old friend, US Navy Sea Cadet. We are aiming to create a serious group, and I have faith we will succeed, but help is wanted.

We are hoping to by January at the latest. Cold weather games and training! This is due to my friends accelerated courses in the fall. If I can get more interest before, we will start sooner.

If you interested in helping create the group let me know here or via PM
