Ever wonder what would happen if you got a mouth full of 400+fps bbs at 10' away? You have?! Well, wonder no more. Take a good look, boys & girls. This is the result of 2 screwups: an idiot ignoring the ROEs and me not protecting my face. A simple mouthguard or even a shemagh covering my mouth would've saved me from this fate. Don't be like me. Keep those chickletts covered.

I got popped from my own sniper rifle that my buddy was using from about 150 feet away. I lost my tooth to the left of my 2 front teeth. ever since then I always wear a wire mesh mask over my mouth. it has saved me a few times since I started wearing it. I have seen 3 other broken teeth in my years of playing. Yours is the worst though, sorry you had to deal with this and I hope it all works out for you.

I just started wearing a SISU Aeroguard. They're not expensive and if you fit them correctly you can talk normally while wearing them.

I came around the corner behind him about 10 feet away. I called out, "Bang!". He spun around and lit me up ith a gun that chronoed 407 fps. I was a bloody mess spitting my wrecked teeth into my hands.
Total bill so far is $8776.00, 16 missing teeth and a set of iritating dentures. On a positive note, I've lost 20 lbs throughout the process; can't eat a lot of what I used to.

Yep, full auto. And, I have no idea how many rounds it was. He had a high ROF, though and held it for a couple of seconds. 30+ would be my guess. Had a few up my nose too. They came out easily enough.

Damn that right there is why I'm a little leery of this high ROF push going on, but this is by far the worst I've seen. Just damn.
I played for many years without any mouth protection, since I had crazy problems fogging over the years and mesh masks really didn't exist back then. So the options were neoprene which isn't great, paintball masks which I never cared for etc. Since I came back to playing I saw mesh masks and immediately bought one and love it. And after seeing that picture I'm going to continue to always run face protection;)
Hope you get everything sorted out, I know how teeth problems are my current dental bill well what they want me to do runs in the same ballpark price wise. And that's not counting the $4,000 or so I've spent already;)

Just want to say thanks for this post and give it a little bump for the beginning of the season.
PSA: also remember to do warmup stretches before games kids, it's not a joking matter. Your joints will thank you for it when you get old.

For Indoor and rec games I always use the lower Mesh mask. I don't take the chance. Milsims I don't use lower, I don't get engaged that close so I don't worrie that much.
